Alexa has A1 hips, was imported by me from Germany, she has SV pink papers and is registered with the AKC. She has a bubbly personality, is social with people and male dogs, not so social with female dogs, but all dogs are invisible for her on the field. She is good with children, though her manners are sometimes a bit too rude for small children as she was raised to be a competition dog in Germany, not a house dog. Alexa would make a great Schutzhund competitor for someone new in the sport. She has over the top prey drive, and she is very hard. You can give her a hard correction and all Alexa does is change the direction at which she approaches the problem, and this is even in the obedience phase of Schutzhund. She is strong and intense in protection, and has a good calm bite. She displays good barking. She is a good tracker, but was force-taught to track. You would need to learn how to track this way, or retrain her to track for treats or the toy, she has an overwhelming drive for both. Alexa has a short coupled and powerful, stocky, deep body. She has been a great brood bitch the last two years, producing progeny who will be soon be certified in SAR, scent detection for a Sheriffs department, and titled in Schutzhund, while she herself is only 5 years old and produced her first of two litters at three years of age.
Alexa is bred 2-3 on Crok vom Erlenbusch (SG-BSP) Kkl 2. She carries the solid black gene and has produced several solid black puppies. Alexa whelped a litter last April of nine puppies. The litter before that was a litter of 11 puppies.
I am not selling Alexa as a brood bitch, hence the very reasonable price for such a great looking titled tough Schutzhund bitch with this powerhouse pedigree. Alexa lost her most recent litter last month at about her fifth week of pregnancy. My vet and I have discussed her symptoms and we believe that she has the very treat-able condition of not producing progesterone at some point in the pregnancy. It is possible to get her pregnant and keep her pregnant with this condition with the help of a reproductive veterinarian. One has to pull blood for progesterone testing right after breeding, then again one month later, and if necessary give her some progesterone shots, apparently on a schedule. I have not investigated all of the particulars of doing this schedule as I myself own several other European import titled females with equally great pedigrees who do not require any extra help to stay pregnant. I think Alexa would be happier being someone else's constant buddy and to produce an occassional litter for them. Alexa deserves that. I invite you to speak to my reproductive veterinarian or have your own vet speak to him concerning the progesterone proceedure for keeping a dog with this issue pregnant to produce you a nice big litter of top working dogs.
Pictures are available. I may be able to do a video of her in training if you require one, please call or write me about your requests. References are available from my Schutzhund club training director and you can also contact owners of her pups who are very happy to let you know how great Alexa's offspring are--if you were to decide to go to the trouble of doing the progesterone scheduling thing. It would be well worth your time to breed a pup or two for yourself as well as make up her purchase price, as the people who have her pups are absolutely crazy about them and their working talents.
Alexa comes with AKC registration, her pink paper SV registration with attached SV scorebook and hip rating score, microchipped, up to date vaccinations, wormed. Per SV regualtions, she is already tattooed.
Shipping is easy, and will not cost you as much as you probably think it would. Until this year, I used to send out all of my females for almost every breeding I did to top studs all over the USA and back again. So you can see that it is easy for me to do.
